Thailand's Foreign Ministry initiated the Roving Buakeaw Project to allow the government to listen to the opinions of people from various segments of Thai society. The meetings are held at temples, town halls, and provincial schools. The project’s stated goal is to take the information into consideration when formulating policy if/when applicable. According to the Foreign Ministry of Affairs: Participants of the Roving Buakeaw Project are representatives from both government and private sectors in provinces such as Members of Parliament, businessmen, member of the local Chambers of Commerce, local media, local government official, NGOs, and interested citizen. Participants from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs comprise the Foreign Minister, Secretary to the Minister, Advisor to the Minister, and Director-Generals of the departments concerned.
