Harry O'Neill is Chairman of Roper ASW


O'Neill is Vice Chairman of Roper ASW. He joined the Roper staff in 1988. Previously, he was Vice Chairman of Opinion Research Corporation, where he was a member of the staff for 25 years. Mr. O'Neill's activities span a broad range of survey research. His principal research activities have been in the fields of politics, public policy issues, corporate communications, and litigation studies. He has been involved in the direction of the public opinion research for numerous political campaigns, including several Presidential campaigns, and directed the polling for the White House during the Nixon Administration.

He is also active in client service and consultation and has been a speaker before many professional and business groups. Mr. O'Neill is a past member and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO), past Chair of the Research Industry Coalition, and was President of the National Council on Public Polls from 1985 to 1994.

Currently, he is Chair of The Roper Center for Public Opinion Research, a Trustee of the National Council on Public Polls, a member of the Advisory Board of the Marketing Research Institute International and a member of the Standards Committee of the American Association for Public Opinion Research. He is chairman of the Polling Review Board, established by the National Council on Public Polls to monitor the conduct and reporting of polls and surveys that are publicly released.
